It's been a while since I've felt the desire to post on LJ, but this music visualisation plugin is so completely awesome I feel I have to share it. In my experience, music visualisation is a load of rubbish, and at the risk of sounding like an infomercial I have found one that completely kicks ass. I've tried this with all sorts of different music, from ambient through to extreme metal, and it always comes up with something appropriate that makes the music better. Anyway, it's called Whitecap and I heartily recommend it if you have ever had so much as a passing interest in music. | | Friday, December 12th, 2008 | | 1:18 pm |

Wow, it's been six months since I was here
Anyway, I just found out that the MTV awards got rickrolled, and I think this is awesome. Also, I managed to bet banned from Facebook for alleged trolling, so if you've got a friend request from me that's why. If Facebook want Huntley on their website that's their business, but banning me simply because I don't think he should be on there? Shame on them! | | Saturday, May 17th, 2008 | | 6:51 pm |
I think you should look here
The maintainer of this frankly brilliant comic adaptation made a post recently that was a thinly-veiled bemoaning of not enough people appreciating his art. LIEK SRSLY, it's very good indeed, so check it out. fredbasset | | Friday, May 16th, 2008 | | 11:42 am |

More hilarity from my favourite right-wing fundamentalist Christians From the American Family Association, this just in:
[for the TL;DR, it consists of them arguing that having a non-discrimination act brought into US workplaces will infringe on their rights to discriminate against willy woofters)The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) has passed the U.S. House and Senator Edward Kennedy is now leading the push for a vote in the U.S. Senate. ENDA is aimed at providing heightened protections for a particular sexual behavior - homosexuality. It would grant special consideration on the basis of "sexual orientation" that would not be extended to other employees in the workplace. ENDA violates employers' and employees' Constitutional freedoms of religion, speech and association. The proposed legislation would prohibit employers from taking their deeply held beliefs into account when making personnel decisions. This would pose an unprecedented intrusion by the federal government into people's lives. ENDA would approvingly bring private behavior considered immoral by many into the public square. By declaring that all sexual preferences are equally valid, ENDA would change national policy supporting marriage and family. It's obvious that the real agenda behind the innocuously named Employment Non-Discrimination Act is a push to enshrine homosexuality in national policy. This dangerous legislation would dramatically expand the government's reach into your work place and create unnecessary work-place conflicts and lawsuits. ENDA is a sweeping employer mandate to create special new legal protections based on "sexual orientation" (or "perceptions"). | | Tuesday, May 6th, 2008 | | 11:27 pm |
This may be old news
But both of these things are making me laugh OL. The links are potentially not work safe. LionCash: Entirely pointless but has potential for great amusement. Operation McNigger: Wins everything. Sellotape to outside of McDonald's for endless entertainment. | | Friday, May 2nd, 2008 | | 4:11 pm |
Gas and electric
Hello, I would like to conduct a quick survey of my friends list. If you are responsible for paying for the gas and electric in your house, approximately how much does the total amount come to each month? I think that these days meters are charged the same as a paper bill, so even if you're on a meter please let me know how much you spend. The reason is that our landlord (who pays the utilities out of our rent) wants to put the rent up by £30 per month to cover gas and electric bills, and I want to work out if he's being reasonable. We have signed to December at the current rate, so we could refuse the increase, but he's a nice bloke so if he's being reasonable I want to be reasonable back. | | Thursday, May 1st, 2008 | | 8:11 pm |

New NIN track
The new Nine Inch Nails track (free download at www.nin.com) is a bit disappointing. It sounds very With Teeth, even down to the overly-intrusive drum pattern that sounds like Only. | | 3:46 pm |
Woot!
Brilliant! Now that my new job's boss has left, I've been thrown into the deep end. However, this means that I now get to use all my expertise in warehouses and the like to implement new systems and have my brain working properly again. Contrary to my post of a few weeks back, I think that I shall start enjoying my work a lot more as the weeks and months go on, and this is excellent as it proves that all I needed was a job doing something I like, rather than to abscond to a hippie commune and abandon modern life. Warehouses: Shouldn't be fun but by fuck they are. Although it would be nice to be on decent money, two years in the wilderness is quite enough | | Friday, April 25th, 2008 | | 1:40 pm |
Humourless bastards
Oh dear. I seem to have received the banhammer from Facebook. Not exactly sure why, I've been mostly behaved recently. So if you get a new friend request from me soon, that'll be why. | | Thursday, April 24th, 2008 | | 6:14 pm |

The most surreal thing ever...
John Prescott has just announced to the world that he is a secret sufferer of bulimia, and that he hopes his experiences will help young women who have felt as he did. That it's completely made-up is evident, but I can't fathom the thinking behind this being a good PR stunt. | | Thursday, April 17th, 2008 | | 11:35 pm |
HAVE SOME GRAPHS
The plural may even be graphes. But anyway, have them as I would like you to have graphs. And also to make you exercise your wheel finger. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | | Monday, April 14th, 2008 | | 5:07 pm |

Quite brilliantly, andy has left himself logged into livejournal. This gives me (mighty_pit) the opportunity to have some cerebral discourse with you, his friends list. Sooo... errrmm... Fuck it. have some randomly selected pictures. Good night, sweet prince and princesses, goodnight. |
